🔥 Boot Culture Mexican-Style Citrus Marinade
🧂 Ingredients
- Juice of 2 oranges
- 2 tablespoons lime juice
- 2–3 chipotle peppers in adobo sauce (plus 1–2 tbsp of the sauce for extra flavor)
- 2 tablespoons cumin
- 3 tablespoons chili powder
- 1 tablespoon dried oregano
- ¼ onion
- 2 jalapeños (with seeds for heat)
- ½ head of garlic (about 5–6 cloves)
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2–4 tablespoons oil (to thin to desired consistency)
🔪 Instructions
- Add all ingredients to a blender.
- Blend until smooth.
- Adjust thickness with oil if needed.
- Taste and adjust salt, pepper, or heat to your liking.
🥩 How to Use
- Venison / Beef: Marinate 4–12 hours
- Chicken / Pork: Marinate 2–8 hours
- Grill, smoke, or sear in cast iron until cooked through
🔥 Boot Culture Tips
- Want it hotter? Add another chipotle or keep all the adobo sauce.
- Want it milder? Remove jalapeño seeds.
